Stay Informed with AGC's New Judicial Advocacy Feed

AGC is excited to announce the launch of our newJudicial Advocacynews feed, a dedicated resource that keeps you informed about our ongoing efforts in the courts to protect and advance the interests of the construction industry. This feed will provide real-time updates on AGC's legal actions and the critical issues we're addressing that could impact your business.

Recent headlines highlight AGC's efforts to challenge overreaching regulations that threaten construction jobs, to push back against burdensome rules that increase risks and legal liabilities for construction firms, and to advocate for fair contract terms in federal projects. Visit thefeedregularly to stay up-to-date on how AGC is actively shaping the legal landscape to ensure a fair and competitive environment for all members.

AGC engages in litigation through two primary avenues:

  1. Direct Litigation Participation: AGC initiates lawsuits as a lead plaintiff or co-plaintiff, directly representing the industry's interests in court. Currently, AGC is responding to federal government overreach by taking a whole-of-AGC approach. Our policy teams lobby Congress, submit comments on agency rules, and engage with agency leadership. Our legal team is working with outside counsel to bringdirect legal challengesin federal courts against regulators for their overreach.
  2. "Friend of the Court" Legal Briefs: AGC submits amicus curia (or "friend of the court") briefs in court cases across the country. These briefs - sometimes submitted independently but more often in cooperation with other like-minded groups - present the industry's unique and compelling legal arguments and educate the court on the practical implications of its decisions on the construction industry.

AGC's legal efforts are vital but costly and are only made possible by contributions to the Construction Advocacy Fund. To support these efforts financially, please consider making a corporate donation here.
