Lift Station 34 Replacement Project

A major lift station located on the beachside is under construction. Lift Station 34, located at 510 Ora Street, is a city-owned, wet-pit/dry-pit configuration, triplex master lift station constructed in 1986 and serves a large portion of the city's northern beachside area which is currently experiencing significant redevelopment.

Key components of this $10.9 million project include the addition of an electrical/office building designed to blend in with the surrounding community, construction of a wet well with four new submersible pumps (one serving as a dedicated standby during high-flow events) and installation of a new emergency generator in a sound-attenuating enclosure.

The project also includes six-foot privacy fencing around the site, decorative landscaping in the building's front yard, sidewalk replacement/widening along the site's perimeter and demolition of the existing lift station.

The construction of this project is funded using a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) State Revolving Fund (SRF) low-interest rate loan.

Construction began in summer 2024 and is expected to be complete by March 2026. This timing is based on ideal conditions and may change depending on field conditions and/or equipment availability. Impacts to residents during construction will include temporary traffic rerouting and noise typical of construction projects.
