Suspect arrested after a death investigation in South Aquatic Park

This morning, officers arrested a 40-year-old man after he drove his vehicle over a person laying on the ground near the parking roundabout at South Aquatic Park.

This morning, officers arrested a 40-year-old man after he drove his vehicle over a person laying on the ground near the parking roundabout at South Aquatic Park.

Today at 4:32 am, officers responded to South Aquatic Park on a report of a person pinned under a vehicle. When emergency personnel arrived, they found a 69-year-old man pinned underneath a vehicle that was parked just off of the parking roundabout at the South Aquatic Park entrance. The man was declared deceased at the scene.

Our Department's Fatal Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene to continue the investigation. As a part of the investigation, the driver (Miguel Angel Davila-Huizar, Male, 40 years old, no address) was arrested on suspicion of the below offenses.

We are grateful for the community's continued support and thankful that we were able to bring this suspect to justice.
