MoDOT TRAFIC ALERT: I 49 Pavement Improvements at Night In Nevada July 20 26

Where: North and southbound I-49 lane closures between Highland Avenue and the bridges over the railroad in Nevada

When: 7 p.m. - 6 a.m. Saturday - Friday, July 20-26

What: Contractor crews to add a high-friction pavement treatment at various locations to help improve traction at curves. This work is part of a project to add a high-friction pavement treatment to selected curves on various routes in McDonald, Stone, Taney & Vernon Counties. The prime contractor is the Truesdell Corporation, Camdenton.

Traffic Impacts:

  • North and southbound I-49 lane clsoures between Highland Avenue and the bridges over the railroad in Nevada
  • I-49 is OPEN
  • Drivers will encounter lane closures and flaggers directing traffic through the work zone where crews are working
  • No signed detours, drivers are urged to find alternate routes
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zone
  • Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule
