Application for Public Utility Easement on Oliktok Point - ADL 422448

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

APPLICANT: Quintillion Subsea Operations, LLC

PROJECT NAME: ADL 422448

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The proposed public utility easement will be located at Oliktok Point on the North Slope, approximately 40 miles northwest of Deadhorse.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

Umiat Meridian Township 13 North, Range 9 East, Sections 5

REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Quintillion Subsea Operations, LLC, has applied for a public utility easement on state land to install fiber-optic cable (FOC) on the North Slope. The proposed public easement is approximately 1,277 feet long by 30 feet wide, encompassing approximately 0.88 acres. The FOC will be buried within the Oliktok gravel pad by trenching and/or boring the cable to connect Quintillion's Cable Landing Station to the Santos' Saltwater Treatment Plant. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2025.

REQUESTED TERM: 30 Years

DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: November 15, 2024

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
