PennDOT Now Hiring for Winter Maintenance in Northeast

Dunmore, PA- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) seeks hardworking individuals to work in the Winter Maintenance Program from now through April 2025! Positions are available in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties. If you need assistance applying, please visit any of the below offices. If you have student loan debt, working for the Commonwealth gets you one step closer to loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). PSLF provides employees who work in public service some relief on their student loans. Working for the Commonwealth is considered public service under PSLF. Through PSLF, borrowers with Federal Direct Loans making payments in certain repayment plans can have the balance of the student loans forgiven after making 120 qualifying payments.

Military membersand recently honorably discharged veterans who possess at least two years of experience in operating a commercial motor vehicle as part of their military job requirements may qualify for these opportunities based on meeting the Military Commercial Driver's License Skills Testing Waiver (DL-398 Form(Download PDF reader)) as found on www.dmv.pa.gov.
