Bridge Preservation Project to Begin on Edkin Hill Road in Penn Township, Lycoming County

​Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a portion of Edkin Hill Road (Route 2085) will be closed next week in Penn Township, Lycoming County, for a bridge preservation project.

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024 through Monday, September 9, 2024, Edkin Hill Road will be closed between Route 220 in Lycoming County and the Lycoming County / Sullivan County line, while the contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker, performs milling and resurfacing of the bridge deck.

A detour using Route 220 in Lycoming and Sullivan counties, Route 42 in Sullivan County, and Edkin Hill Road (Route 3001) in Sullivan County will be in place through Monday, September 9, 2024.

Glenn O. Hawbaker is the prime contractor for this $2 million bridge preservation project, which includes preservation work on 13 bridges throughout Lycoming County. Work on the collection of bridges is anticipated to be completed by October 2024, weather permitting.
