On August 20, 2024, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Lincoln Barracks arrested Jose Alberto Soto Mercado, age 44, of 416 Lonsdale Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice out of Ponce County Municipal Court of Puerto Rico on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for (5) counts of Domestic Violence / Cruelty Towards Wife. Mr. Mercado was taken into custody, transported and processed at the Lincoln Barracks. He was later arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice.
