Accounting Club holds annual “Meet the Firms” event

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV - The Shepherd University Accounting Club held its annual "Meet the Firms" event on October 2 in the Storer Ballroom at Shepherd.

The event created an opportunity for Shepherd accounting students to meet with local businesses and learn more about the careers available in the local area.

"The event was very successful, with participation from 16 businesses, the Shenandoah Valley Chapter of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants," said Dr. Cindy Vance, associate professor of accounting. "Participating businesses were able to meet and discuss internships and full-time positions available with the 25 students in attendance."
