Mayor Bowser to Announce $7 Million in Local Business Grants to Support Thriving Neighborhood Corridors

(Washington, DC) - On Thursday, December 12 at 11 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser and community leaders will host a celebration at the DC Arts Center to announce the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) awardees of the District's small business retail grant programs.

The event will honor the 41 awardees of the FY24 Great Streets Retail, Locally Made Manufacturing, and Neighborhood Prosperity Fund grant programs. These grants, totaling $7 million, support local businesses in growing their operations and building vibrant communities across all eight wards. Since 2015, Mayor Bowser has invested over $49 million into these programs that have supported more than 550 businesses across the District, creating more than 2,200 jobs for DC residents.

Attendees will enjoy a showcase featuring local makers and a fashion show by iCONiQ Style, a featured FY23 grant recipient.
