In this latest edition of Around Sumter with the Chairman, Sumter County Chairman Craig Estep speaks with Barron Moody at the Florida Bass Conservation Center. Located at the Richloam Fish Hatchery, this center plays a vital role in Florida's freshwater fish production. It is one of the state's largest hatcheries, producing a variety of species including largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, bream, triploid grass carp, striped bass, and sunshine bass.

The Florida Bass Conservation Center is also a hub for cutting-edge aquaculture research, improving methods for fish cultivation and management.
