Compost Giveaway

The City of Riverbank is giving away free compost to anyone in partnership with organic waste recycler, Gilton Solid Waste. This compost is a product of our curbside organics recycling program. The program is a way to give back to the community while meeting regulations required by Senate Bill 1383. See attached flyer for more information.

Guidelines:

• Must bring their own shovel, containers or buckets to load the materials yourself.
• Will need to self-load their own vehicle.
• Pick-up trucks must tarp their loads.
• Compost available while supplies last.

Need compost in Bulk?

Residential, Ranches, Multi-Family Homes and Business can get compost in bulk delivered directly from Gilton Solid Waste Management. You do not have to live in Riverbank to get delivery in bulk but a Direct Service Provider Agreement must be filled out and returned to the Development Services Department, see attached.

Only two sizes for bulk delivery are available:

Small Truck holds 10 - 12 tons = 20 yards of material

Large Truck holds 20 - 24 tons = 40 yards of material
