Four aggravated assaults reported this week with one still an open investigation and two arrests. Charges were referred to the prosecutor in one case after the suspect rear-ended the victim. When the victim pulled off the freeway, the suspect approached the car very agitated, saying the victim brake checked him. He punched the victim and chased him around with a pitchfork. He fled before officers arrived but has been identified. In one arrest, the suspect grabbed the victim so hard it caused a laceration. In the other arrest, the suspect spit in the face of an officer arresting him for a robbery in another city.

Two robberies reported with arrests in one case. Officers arrested two suspects known to the victim who entered her apartment, pointed a gun at her and stole her purse. They located the suspects through tracking the phone. In the other case, a suspect stole the victim's backpack and pointed a gun at the victim when he tried to get it back.

Officers arrested suspects in two of the four commercial burglaries this week. One arrest was a suspect who was previously trespassed from a business and returned to steal from it. In the other arrest, a church's alarm went off and officers located a suspect inside with property belonging to the church on his person.

Thirteen bikes were stolen since November 1. This week, officers conducted a bike theft emphasis and arrested one suspect who rode off with the staged bike that was unsecured in a business bike rack.

We had one package theft and 11 vehicle prowls or vandalisms this week. As we move further into the holiday shopping season, remember to track your packages and remove them from your porch as quickly as possible after delivery. Don't leave valuables and gifts in your car during and after shopping trips and be sure to lock your vehicle.
