What inspired you to become a PA?

"What inspired me to become a PA was my desire to be a source of hope and support for others during their most vulnerable moments. I wanted to be a compassionate and guiding presence, helping people navigate their experiences with life, illness, and even loss. The opportunity to build meaningful connections while making a positive impact on their health and well-being is what truly drew me to this profession."

As you reflect on your time as a student, what are some of your favorite UD memories?

"As I think back on the past, some of my favorite moments were making memories with my classmates not just in class, but outside of it as well. Whether it was studying together, celebrating, or simply sharing laughs, those moments created a sense of connection and support that I will always treasure. These experiences made my time as a student truly unforgettable."

What life lessons have you learned from your time in the master of science in physician assistant studies program?

"I believe that my time in UDPA taught me how to truly appreciate and make the most of each day. Balancing the demands of academics and clinical experiences showed me the importance of staying present and finding joy even in challenging moments."

What advice do you have for future PA students?

"My advice for future PA students is to take things one step at a time and not let yourself get overwhelmed by trying to manage everything at once. Remember to take a deep breath and trust that everything happens for a reason. Believe in yourself and lean on those around you for support as it will help you navigate the journey successfully."

In your opinion, what makes the University of Dubuque unique?

"In my opinion, what makes the UD unique is its commitment to preparing students for success beyond the classroom. During my clinical rotations, I felt that UD did an outstanding job of equipping me with the essential skills and knowledge I needed to excel in a professional setting."
