Hispanic/Latinx Voices Screening and Panel Discussion will shine light on local experiences

SCRANTON - Don't miss a video screening and panel discussion celebrating National Hispanic American Heritage Month at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Local residents will discuss their experiences and their vision for our region.

The event will feature three 10-minute "Scranton Stories," drawn from a collection of video interviews with local residents. In the stories, Hispanic/Latinx Scrantonians give voice to a range of experiences and explain their hopes for the city and the nation.

The videos will be followed by a panel discussion that includes the interviewees. Alejandra Marroquin, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine's program lead for health equity and inclusion, will moderate.

This event is a collaboration of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and the University of Scranton. The Scranton Stories oral histories were produced by community partners and project funders, including the University of Scranton, the National Endowment for the Humanities, Lackawanna Heritage Valley and The Scranton Area Community Foundation.
