Officers Arrest Suspect After Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle in Dorchester

At about 12:40 PM, on Thursday, February 22, 2024, officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) arrested Nicole Marapoti, 38, of Dorchester, on B&E charges.

Officers responded to the area of 2100 Dorchester Avenue for a report of a person breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, and Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of the suspect.

Upon arrival, officers immediately located the suspect standing next to the involved motor vehicle. The suspect stated the vehicle was her husband's vehicle, but could not provide officers with basic information about the car.

After further investigation, officers learned that the suspect had a warrant for her arrest for receiving stolen property. Officers placed the suspect into handcuffs, and began a search incident to arrest. During the search, officers recovered miscellaneous items from the vehicle, including the paperwork with the registered owner's name on it.

Marapoti was placed under arrest and charged with: Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle. She is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
