Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested Following a Carjacking Incident in Roxbury

Investigation Update: At about 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, members of the Fugitive Unit, arrested Jason Douglas, 18, of Quincy, in the area of Tyler Street, Quincy. At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted on a warrant issued out of Roxbury District Court for Carjacking, Two Counts of Attempt to Commit a Crime, and Three Counts of Threat to Commit a Crime. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: At about 7:30 PM, on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) responded to the area of 58 Annunciation Road for a report of an Carjacking. Upon arrival, officers were advised that two males threatened to shoot a victim and stole their car. Shortly after, the vehicle crashed and the suspects fled the scene. At about 7:45 PM, a second attempted carjacking occurred in the area of 41 McGreevy Way. The victim advised officers that a male suspect attempted to get into her vehicle, but was unable to. The suspect ran towards an occupied vehicle and fled towards Parker Street.
