Uniform Dimming and Reduced Costs and Complexity with LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming

Visual uniformity to 1% dimming and simplified driver selection reduce costs and improve linear application performance

San Jose, CA - September 18, 2024 - Lumileds has released its latest LED engineered for deep dimming applications, the LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming. The new 2835 LED offers the industry's most consistent dimming performance down to 1% dimming. With a Vf range of just 0.05 split into two Vf bins of 0.025, customers no longer need to engage in complex binning processes, costly driver compatibility design, or burdensome testing.

The new LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming LEDs are designed for LED-to-LED flux uniformity across the entire dimming curve - down to 1% - that is required to achieve consistent visual performance. From full intensity - 38.6lm@65m - to 1% intensity at 0.65mA, every LED will provide the same flux performance in the application. Lumileds advances allow for forward voltage variance of just 0.05V which simplifies driver design and compatibility. End users benefit from Lumileds' innovation because uniform 1% light levels can be achieved without undesirable light flicker.

LUXEON 2835 Commercial Deep Dimming is available in CCTs 2700K - 6500K, CRIs of 70, 80, and 90, and with an efficacy range of 178lm/W to 231lm/W. LUXEON 2035 Commercial Deep Dimming as well as standard LUXEON 2835 Commercial, LUXEON 2835 Architectural, and LUXEON 2835 Color Line are available through Lumileds distribution network.
