The Deforestation-Free Products Regulation (EUDR) introduces uniform definitions of forests that may potentially lead to conflicts with national legislation on forestry.

• 1.What scientific and legal bases have been drawn upon to establish the definitions of forests in the EUDR?
• 2.How does the Commission intend to harmonise the application of these definitions in Member States with different national definitions?
• 3.What mechanisms are provided for to resolve conflicts between the EUDR and national legislation on forestry, in particular as regards the definitions of forests?
