On Saturday, October 12, 2024, just after 11:30 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Marysville Boulevard and Main Avenue for a report of a vehicle vs. bicyclist collision. At the scene, officers located one adult male who was pronounced deceased on scene by Fire personnel. The involved vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival, but was located a short distance away. The driver was detained and displayed objective signs of intoxication.
