Holiday Toy Drive - The Civic League of Greater New Brunswick is collecting new unwrapped toys and gifts for the community's children. Items can be dropped off now through Dec. 13 at the Civic League's offices, 47-49 Throop Ave. Call 732-247-9068 for more information.

Amboy Bank's Annual Food Drive - Amboy Bank is collecting food items for Elijah's Promise during business hours at 350 George St. now through the end of December. You can find a list of the most in-demand items here.

Holiday Drive - State Theatre New Jersey is accepting donations of new toys, books, gift cards, and coats to benefit and support charities in Middlesex County, including The Salvation Army, CASA, and FISH INC. You can drop off items during business hours from Nov. 23 to Dec. 22 at 15 Livingston Ave. Call 732-246-7469 for more information.

Big Chill 5K - Get ready to run through the streets of New Brunswick on Dec. 14 as part of The Rutgers Big Chill 5K charitable event that has served the Rutgers University-New Brunswick community since 2003. Cash donations benefit the No Hungry Knights Scholarship Fund, which supports Rutgers students with food insecurities. Toy donations benefit children in the New Brunswick community.
