FREDERICK, Md. - County Executive Jessica Fitzwater invites the public to join her at one of six upcoming town hall meetings to help set priorities for the Fiscal Year 2026 budget. There will be one public hearing in December, followed by one town hall in each of the five County Council Districts throughout January. All meetings are open to the public.
"Our budget should reflect our community's needs, priorities, and values. Your input helps us create a budget that invests in what matters most to residents," said County Executive Fitzwater. "I look forward to hearing from you as we work to address the needs of our community and plan for Frederick County's future."
Those interested in attending may join whichever meeting is most convenient. Attendees are not limited to the meeting in their home district. The schedule is as follows:
Each meeting will be recorded and posted online for later viewing on FCG TV. The December 4 and January 30 meetings will also be livestreamed at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/BudgetPublicHearing and on FCG TV, Comcast channels 1072 and 19. Those who cannot attend in person may submit comments online at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/BudgetPublicHearing.
