Bank Millennium among ESG leaders

Bank Millennium was on the podium of this year's edition of the "ESG Ranking. Responsible Management". In the G (Governance) section, it was ranked third. In the general classification it took a high 9th place.

"ESG ranking. Responsible Management" is a new edition of the Ranking of Responsible Companies organised since 18 years by the Kozminski Business Hub at Kozminski University. It is based on questionnaires completed by companies in the area of sustainable development, the results of which are verified in accordance with the methodology prepared by the authors. Experts from Kozminski University and partners: UNEP/GRID and the Responsible Business Forum, participate in preparing the questions included in the survey.

This is the most important list of the largest companies on the Polish market, assessed in terms of the quality of responsible management in accordance with ESG guidelines. Its results prove that ESG is no longer just about regulatory changes and growing social pressure, but also about real actions taken by companies. In the general classification, Bank Millennium scored 89 points, which allowed it to take the 9th position. The institution managed to win the position of champion in the third place in the area of corporate governance.

This year, almost 70 companies took part in the ranking, and almost 150 companies expressed interest in it. Ultimately, 62 entities qualified for the main ranking, and the first position in this group was taken by the Ergo Hestia Group. Bank Millennium has been present in the ranking for many years, this year it has advanced compared to previous years.

The level of difficulty of this year's survey was very high, and the questions concerned all areas related to ESG reporting. The questionnaire contained as many as 70 questions of various nature in eleven sections. The survey refers directly to the latest reporting guidelines under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), which are already applicable to selected entities operating on the Polish market, and within two years will cover over 3,000 largest companies. So far, 270 largest companies operating on the Polish market have participated in the Ranking.
