Lynda A. Bennett Named to NJBIZ’s List of People to Watch in Finance

Lowenstein Sandler partner and Chair of the Insurance Recovery Group Lynda A. Bennett has been included in NJBIZ's2024 People To Watch in Finance.

The annual list honors "those individuals who perform vital tasks in every business by helping ensure profitability, avert financial crises, invest wisely in promising ventures, and generally keep the wheels of business turning in the right direction." The editors add: "Without talented professionals in these sorts of positions, businesses could not function properly, if at all."

NJBIZ calls Bennett "a sought-after expert on coverage issues [who] has been out front on some prominent insurance-related questions-most recently the potential fallout from the CrowdStrike incident in July." Amongst her achievements, it notes that she "led [the firm's] entrance into podcasts by hosting 'Don't Take No for an Answer,'" which offers lessons on the nuts and bolts of insurance recovery issues as well as discussions with a wide range of stakeholders in the insurance industry.

Representing clients in D&O, cyber, environmental, asbestos, construction defect, mass tort, product liability, and professional liability cases, Bennett also provides counsel on contractual insurance requirements, new products and risk management tools, and insurance program assessment. She frequently collaborates with the firm's transactional lawyers, advising acquirers and private equity funds on the insurance coverage issues that arise in acquisition and investment transactions.

Bennett has served as Chair of the Insurance Recovery Group since 2011 and is a member of the firm's executive board and Compensation Committee. She founded the firm's Women's Initiative Network and is as a board member and past president of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association.
