Free Compost Giveaway Event Wednesday, October 2nd through Thursday, October 3rd, 9am 4pm

The City is partnering with its waste hauler, Republic Services, to host four free compost giveaway events for 2024. Compost will be available on a first come, first serve basis between the hours of 9 AM-4 PM on the following dates:

1. Wednesday, October 2 through Thursday, October 3, 2024
2. Wednesday, November 20 through Thursday, November 21, 2024

Each event will be held at the Department of Water & Wastewater Resources located at 153 Lake Merced Blvd., Daly City, 94015.

To participate in the compost giveaway, please bring a sturdy container, shovels, and gloves for this self-serve event. Residents must show proof of residency and are limited to five (5) 5-gallon buckets of compost per household.

Events are weather permitting and will be canceled due to rain.
