'Shots fired' call results in one arrest in Otsego County

On July 29, 2024, at approximately 12:10 a.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Bryan A. Howard, age 50 of Mount Vision, NY for four counts of the class "D" felony of Reckless Endangerment in the first degree.

The charges stem from an investigation that originated as a "shots fired" 911 call on July 28 at approximately 10:40 p.m., in the 1800 to 1900-block of State Route 205 in the town of Laurens. A resident discovered bullet holes in the kitchen window where he and his family reside.

Troopers located and interviewed Howard and determined he shot in the direction of the residence recklessly engaging in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to another person.

Howard was processed and transported to the Otsego County Correctional Facility for Centralized Arraignment and Processing.
