Hedin Bil Mercedes-Benz Uppsala delivers electric trucks to Bring Sverige

MÖLNDAL, 15 August 2024 - Hedin Bil Mercedes-Benz Uppsala has been commissioned to deliver electric commercial vehicles to Bring Sverige, as part of Bring Sverige's strategy to electrify its parcel deliveries. 22 commercial vehicles have been delivered from Hedin Bil.

The new electric commercial vehicles that were delivered from Hedin Bil Mercedes-Benz Uppsala to Bring at the beginning of August, are the new version of the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter. This commercial vehicle is the first in its class, with a range of over 400 kilometres. The vehicle is available both as a van and as a chassis for bodybuilding with a tail lift. The vehicles is equipped with DC (fast charging) of up to 115 kW, which means that only 30 minutes of charging provides up to 200 kilometres of range. Shortly, the vehicles will be put into service to start delivering parcels to customers in Stockholm and Gothenburg as a first step.

"We are very pleased that Hedin Bil, Mercedes-Benz and Bring have established this collaboration and that Bring is at the forefront when it comes to the transfer into electrified transportation. We look forward to a long-term partnership where we at Hedin Bil can continue to enable electrification of commercial vehicles," - says Berat Ismajli, Brand Manager Mercedes-Benz Transportbilar Hedin Bil.

Hedin Mobility Group offers Sweden's widest range of electrified passengers vehicles, commercial vehicles and trucks. The collaboration with Bring Sweden is an example of how the Group is enabling electrification of the transport sector. Since 2023, Hedin Supercharge has built public charging stations with high-speed charging in several locations in Sweden. In May 2024, Hedin Supercharge inaugurated a charging station in Linköping. In the latter part of 2024, this station will have capacity to deliver 1,2 Megawatts of power, with the aim of offering fast charging for heavy trucks. The vision is to become one of Sweden's leading charging operators for electric vehicles.
