DCCC Releases First TV Ad in OR-05: “Tim”

The DCCC released its first TV ad in the race for Oregon's 5th Congressional District, "Tim," highlighting Lori Chavez-DeRemer's 26 votes against Social Security and Medicare, and the real impact it's having on everyday workers and families in Clackamas County.

Despite her efforts to mislead voters, Lori Chavez-DeRemer and her extremist party bosses have worked to shut out everyday Oregon workers from the benefits they've been paying into their whole lives. While 80% of voters oppose plans to cut Social Security benefits by raising the retirement age and 81% oppose any cuts to retirement programs, Lori Chavez-DeRemer has repeatedly voted to cut access to these critical programs.

The ad - the first to run in OR-05 from the DCCC IE - is airing in the Portland and Bend media markets beginning today and is part of the committee's previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

I started working over fifty years ago, been paying into Social Security and Medicare every paycheck since.

I'm counting on them being there when I retire.

But I don't think it's right for Chavez-DeRemer and D.C. extremists to decide that I don't get the Social Security and Medicare I've been paying for.
