TAKE OUR SURVEY about Downtown Improvements (with pictures)

Construction on East Market Street from Main Street to Hickory Street is underway. This phase of the new streetscape work should be completed around the end of October. Overhead utilities will be buried, and the existing sidewalks have been removed. When everything is reconstructed, this section of East Market Street will have new curbs, wider sidewalks, stamped concrete edging, street trees, and new ornamental streetlights. The limits of the project are shown in the image below.
