WHAT
Los Angeles Rams Legend and former wide receiver Brandyn Harvey and mascot and fan favorite, Rampage, will surprise a Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's cancer patient with VIP tickets to an upcoming home game.
Harvey, Rampage and Rams Cheerleaders will be presenting the 18-year-old patient, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's, with tickets for him and his family to the Oct. 6 game at SoFi Stadium.
WHY
Cedars-Sinai is teaming up with the Los Angeles Rams' Crucial Catch initiative, which promotes prevention and early detection of cancer. The NFL has raised more than $22 million to provide cancer screenings in underserved communities.
The young patient will be joined by other cancer patients at the Rams' Crucial Catch game Oct. 6. Six additional Cedars-Sinai patients will be honored as Crucial Catch Captains during the special half-time show.
WHO
The patient being surprised is from Monrovia, CA, and plays football at his high school. He is undergoing treatment for a soft tissue cancer. His parents and sister are in on the surprise and will be joining him at the game.
