On Oct. 1, 2024, the UC Public Safety Department will transition keys, lost and found, and background checks from Edwards Four to Edwards Three.
Also on Oct. 1, cash will no longer be accepted for background checks. Payment will be accepted via departmental/external agency billing forms or credit card.
The move should not impact how students, faculty, staff and the public use these services, just the physical location of these services. Please review the information below for a few reminders for each of the services. Contact [email protected] or 513-556-8206 with questions.
Please review the University Key Policy, which will be strictly adhered to starting Oct. 1, including the following:
UC Public Safety coordinates background checks and fingerprinting services for university departments and the public. Starting Oct. 1, background checks will be cashless. Applicants' fingerprints are scanned electronically and forwarded to Ohio BCIfor a check of the applicant's state record. Note: If required, prints are also forwarded to the FBI for a national background check. Background check results can take up to 40 business days. Background Checks / Fingerprints appointmentscan be made online.
