Berkeleyans can make their home safer by getting rid of paint, fuels, electronics, and other household hazardous waste for free at a one-day event this Saturday in Albany.

This event, coordinated by StopWaste.org, is open only to Alameda County residents. Businesses can dispose of hazardous materials through other services.
When dropping off your household hazardous waste, pack the materials in the trunk, stay in your vehicle, and have your driver's license ready. Professional crews will unload and handle all the toxic materials, as required by state law.
