8/24/24 Aggravated Battery with a Firearm
(PEORIA, IL) Friday, August 23, 2024, at approximately 9:41 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of W. Kettelle Street on a Shot Spotter alert of two rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they did not locate a victim or suspects.
At approximately 9:49 p.m. police learned that a male juvenile (16 years old) was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Members of the Peoria Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Unit responded to the scene where the Shot Spotter occurred and initiated an investigation.
There is currently no suspect information. This investigation is under investigation.
