Yakima County massage therapist license suspended for sexual misconduct

OLYMPIA - State health officials suspended the license of Yakima County massage therapist Jose Alvarez Cisneros (MA61201951) pending further legal action.

Alvarez Cisneros was alleged to have engaged in sexually explicit conduct during a massage session. He has subsequently been charged with second-degree rape, a class A felony, in the Superior Court of Washington for Yakima County.

The suspension prohibits Alvarez Cisneros from practicing as a massage therapist in Washington to protect patient safety and public health. He has 20 days to request a hearing to contest the charges.
