SCAM ALERT: DCPD Phone Number Being Used to Spoof

SCAM ALERT - Currently, the Daly City Police Department is aware of a phone scam impersonating officers of the Daly City Police Department. The number that's being "Spoofed" by scammers is 650-991-8119, which is the front desk line of the Police Department. This phone number only accepts phone calls and is unable to make phone calls. If you receive a call from the phone 650-991-8119, it is a scam.

If you receive a call or voicemail from 650-991-8119 regarding a "cyber crime, fraud investigation, that you have a warrant out for your arrest," or other similar issues, please do not give out any information to the person calling and hang up. Our officers will not call you from 650-991-8119 and would never ask for money, money orders, gift cards, or any sort of financial compensation. If you receive a phone call from this number asking you come in person to the Daly City Police Department, it is likely part of the scam. Please first contact the Daly City Police Department, or your local police agency directly, and verify the request before going to the police department.
