Council visit to local business Firebird Brewery

In July, Horsham District Council's Cabinet Member for the Local Economy and Place Cllr Joanne Knowles visited Firebird Brewery as part of a series of meetings with local businesses.

Situated in a renovated brickworks in Rudgwick, the award-winning Sussex craft brewery produces and sells a wide range of award-winning beers which can be found in most bars and pubs in Horsham town centre. They also run a thriving shop and a bar which is open every day, hosting music and street food on Fridays and Saturdays.

Located in Rudgwick Brickworks, Firebird Brewery neighbours a diverse range of businesses where the landlord, Harrison Rural Properties, has invested in providing high quality business floorspace and solar panels on most of the buildings which also power the brewery.

Cllr Joanne Knowles met with Richard and Venessa of Firebird Brewery and Tim of Harrison Rural Properties to discuss matters of the local economy.

Commenting on the visit, Cllr Joanne Knowles said:

"It is encouraging to see a flourishing local business, which continues to expand. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Firebird, to supporting them in their future plans and ensuring that we highlight how fortunate we are to have such a distinctive food and drink offer in the District."

The visit to Firebird Brewery is part of the Council's ongoing recognition of businesses within the District who help to create, maintain, and promote a prosperous community and local economy.
