TPA up for 'Best Large Airport' and other awards from 2024 USAToday 10Best Readers’ Choice

Tampa International Airport is once again in the running for the USAToday 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for Best Large Airportand four airport dining categories.

A panel of industry experts and editors at the publication chose TPA as a nominee for the best airport category, up against major hubs including O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago, Miami International Airport (MIA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York.

It will now be up to the public voters to decide which airport is their favorite, with voting open through Monday, Sept. 23. Fans of TPA can vote up to once a day until polls close. As of last week, when rankings were available, TPA was in the No. 1 spot, but those rankings are now hidden until the top 10 winners are announced on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

TPA also has nominees in three airport dining categories, including Best Airport for Dining(#1 as of last week), Airside C's Bavaro's for Best Airport Grab-and-Go Food(#7) and both Cigar City Brewingand Ulelefor Best Airport Sit-Down Restaurant (#9 and #14, respectively).

Last year, TPA was ranked #2 in the USAToday 10Best Readers' Choice Awards behind #1 Indianapolis International Airport. TPA is frequently named highly in such lists, including being ranked the #1 Large Airport in the J.D. Power North America Satisfaction Studyin 2022 and 2023, as well as #1 in the Airport Service Quality Awardsthis year.
