Notice of Adopted and Filed Changes to the Regulations of the Alaska State Medical Board

On July 18, 2024, the State Medical Board adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 40 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations concern updates dealing with eliminating redundant requirements for licensure for physicians to streamline and expedite the licensure process.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on July 31, 2024, and are effective on August 30, 2024. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The regulation changes will first appear in Register 251, October 2024 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
