Police have commenced and investigation after a female driver was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's North Shore this afternoon.
About 12.20pm today (Thursday 28 November 2024), emergency services were called to Mowbray Road, Lane Cove North, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were told a silver Toyota sedan and a bus had collided.
The driver of sedan - a 50-year-old woman - was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
The sole occupant of the bus - a male driver - was not injured.
He was taken to the same hospital for a mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the incident has commenced.
As Mowbray Road is closed for both directions, police urge road users to avoid the area at this time.
