Bowman (the Company) announced today that it has been selected to provide program management services for The Aurora Highlands, a 3,000-acre master planned community in Aurora, Colorado.
As program manager, Bowman will oversee the design of more than $500 million worth of infrastructure, in addition to the refinement of short- and long-term development plans, the management of other engineering and design consultants as well as the coordination of land use and public enhancements. The Company will also work to manage bid packages, assist with selecting contractors and work with the City of Aurora on infrastructure entitlements and design approvals.
"Bowman has the project management experience and capabilities necessary to help The Aurora Highlands set the standard for quality community development in the Denver metro area," said Dan Swayze, chief operating officer at Bowman. "Collaborating with the district, city and other stakeholders has already proven productive and we look forward to building on this momentum."
The Aurora Highlands is the largest community development currently underway in the Denver metro area, extending the region to the east. The project will feature 500 acres of open space, over 20 miles of trails and has already launched its first of four planned schools. Future plans include a hospital, for which the first phase is currently in design, an Aquatic Center called the Beach Club, which is getting ready to start construction, along with future retail spaces and a civic and recreation center.
