Rob Bresnahan Campaigns With Anti-Abortion Extremist Lou Barletta

Yesterday, Rob Bresnahan campaigned with Lou Barletta, a former congressman who touts an anti-abortion voting history and promised to restrict reproductive rights across Pennsylvania.

In Congress, Barletta was endorsed by National Right to Life and cosponsored the Life at Conception Act, a nationwide abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or life of the woman. Barletta has also called himself "100 percent pro-life," said he was "extremely happy" when Roe v. Wade was overturned, and when running for governor promised to be "a governor who signs pro-life legislation."

Similarly, Bresnahan adopted the Pennsylvania Republican platform that would effectively ban abortion with no exceptions and also praised the Dobbs decision earlier this year.

"The anti-abortion movement has embraced Rob Bresnahan with open arms. He's campaigning with extreme politicians, who would jail doctors and ban abortion nationally. Bresnahan can't be trusted to protect Pennsylvanians' reproductive freedom."
