City Seeks Applicants for Boards, Commissions and Committees

Citizen boards, commissions, and committees are an integral part of the City of Creve Coeur. Each board, commission, or committee exists to provide the Mayor, City Council, and staff members with needed insight into areas of citizen interest or concern.

Several boards, commissions and committees have openings and are seeking applicants from the Creve Coeur community:

  • Arts Committee - Promotes cultural arts within the City and assists with developing, commissioning and selecting public art to enhance the community.
  • Board of Adjustment - Varies or modifies zoning regulations that create hardships and hears appeals when there is an alleged error in the enforcement or interpretation of the Zoning Code.
  • Building Code Board of Appeals - Hears appeals from the public on decisions made by the Building Official and may uphold, reverse or modify the decision.
  • Energy & Environment Committee - Advises the City on issues related to sustainability, including waste reduction, greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.
  • Finance Committee - Provides input and recommendations on major financial issues facing the City.
  • Personnel Appeals - Hears personnel disciplinary appeals.
  • Planning & Zoning Commission - Considers all requests for rezoning, zoning text amendments, site development plans and conditional use permits.
