Economists at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City report the volume of new operating loans for farmers increased 20 percent in the second quarter from a year ago. The economists suggest demand for farm loans has rebounded due to elevated production expenses and a moderation in farm sector liquidity . . . According to Reuters, the Energy Information Administration said the production capacity of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the U.S. could increase 1,400 percent this year if all announced capacity additions come on line. The agency projects that SAF output will rise from 2,000 barrels per day to nearly 30,000 barrels . . . Nebraska feedlots, with capacities of 1,000 or more head, contained 2.39 million cattle on feed on July 1 according to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, up 3 percent from last year.
