Child Groped at Grocery Store, Police Asking for Public's Help (Photo)

The Portland Police Bureau's Central Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) is asking for help in identifying a suspect in an incident at a Southeast Portland grocery store in June of 2024.

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, Central Precinct officers responded to reports of sexual abuse at a grocery store in the 3800 block Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard. When officers arrived, they determined an adult male inappropriately touched a 10-year-old girl before fleeing.

PPB is releasing surveillance photos of the man wanted in connection to the incident. The suspect is described as a white male, 35-55 years of age, 5'7"- 6'0" and driving a 2009-2014 Subaru Outback.
