Valley Water Wins 2024 WaterSense® Partner of the Year Award for 2nd year in a row

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) awarded Valley Water the WaterSense Partner of the Year Award, joining a distinguished group of just 10 recipients honored with this recognition.

For a second year in a row, WaterSense recognized our agency for our water conservation achievements, including the distribution of over 850 WaterSense-labeled showerheads and 1,100 aerators, the installation of more than 1,700 WaterSense-labeled toilets, and the provision of rebates for nearly 430 smart irrigation controllers and 2,300 high-efficiency sprinklers. Valley Water also certified almost 50 Qualified Water Efficient Landscapers.

Valley Water staff accepts the award for WaterSense Partner of the Year.

The award also recognizes our extensive promotion of WaterSense campaigns and WaterSense-labeled products through rebate programs for lawn conversions and inefficient irrigation equipment upgrades for Santa Clara County residents. These efforts were supported by comprehensive digital and social media campaigns. Additionally, the award highlights Valley Water's educational outreach efforts, which reached over 10,000 students and nearly 500 teachers through virtual lessons, summer camps, assemblies, outdoor classrooms, and STEAM events across Santa Clara County, promoting water conservation throughout the community.

"Collaboration with WaterSense and the community is essential as we face a changing climate impacting our water supply. We're thrilled to be named one of WaterSense's partners of the year and look forward to another year of helping Californians make water conservation a way of life," said Nai Hsueh, Valley Water Board Chair.

WaterSense, a voluntary partnership program sponsored by the EPA, is a label for water-efficient products and a resource for helping consumers learn ways to save water. More than 2,100 manufacturers, builders, retailers, utilities, government, and nonprofit organizations partner with WaterSense to produce and promote water-efficient products, programs, and homes.
