Eric Booth Named New Dean of Campus Life

UIW is proud to announce that Eric W. Booth has been named the new Dean of Campus Life. The Office of Campus Life strives to develop students through an engaging university experience that aids in the formation of self, community and their contributions as enlightened citizens of a global society. The responsibility of maintaining and advancing forward a campus environment that affords students the opportunity to enrich themselves is no easy task and UIW has great confidence in Eric Booth to uphold this responsibility.

Throughout his career, Booth has been a part of various professional organizations including the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) and the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), has served as the committee chair for the Southwest Association of College and University Housing Officers (SWACUHO) as well as presented at a number of conferences centered around providing quality student housing.

Before joining UIW, Booth had nearly 22 years of experience contributing towards the care of university campuses across Texas and Iowa, supporting students by overseeing and contributing towards operations related to housing, campus security, food services, emergency management, athletic advisory, disability services, Title IX, diversity and COVID-19 response. He previously served at Iowa Wesleyan University as the Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life.

Since joining the University in June 2023, Booth has filled a variety of essential positions including Director of Campus Life and Housing Operations and as well as the Interim Dean of Campus Life.

"I look forward to working with our students to create a strong co-curricular student experience, and to connecting with our students to identify their needs and working to create an environment of support, community and engagement on campus."
