M-DCPS' Green Schools Recognition Program Awards is celebrating our schools' innovative environmental efforts. These awards recognize M-DCPS schools that excel in the following categories:<_o3a_p>
• Community Involvement - Student leadership, community service<_o3a_p>
• Curriculum Integration - Environmental issues, field work<_o3a_p>
• Health and Well-being - Healthy food, gardening, physical fitness<_o3a_p>
• Innovation - Creativity and sustainability leadership<_o3a_p>
• School Grounds Advancement - Outdoor living spaces, habitat<_o3a_p>
• School Sustainability -Energy, solid waste, water, transportation<_o3a_p>
• School-Wide Culture - School events, fundraising, polices<_o3a_p>

One school will receive the Green Region of the Year Award. Up to 10 additional schools will receive cash prizes for top performance based on the seven categories mentioned. All 75 schools will receive a participation award. <_o3a_p>

- Coral Reef Senior High School cheerleaders performing<_o3a_p>
