Advancing 21st Century Security®

  • The U.S. Navy and Lockheed Martin have developed and fielded cutting-edge AI software updates for destroyers shooting down missiles and drones in the Red Sea, thanks to a team of technical experts that analyzed data from all the shootdown events since October.
  • Lockheed Martin Australia signed a landmark AUD$500 million contract with the Department of Defence to build Australia's future Joint Air Battle Management System under project - AIR6500 Phase 1. This system will provide the Australia Defence Force with an advanced integrated air and missile defense capability, using next-gen technologies, to combat high-speed threats.
  • Lockheed Martin Skunk Works® joined the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School and other government and industry partners in hosting U.S. Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall to fly in the X-62A Variable In-flight Simulation Test Aircraft (VISTA), a one-of-a-kind aircraft modified to test artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomy capabilities.
  • The U.S. Air Force and Lockheed Martin conducted a planned flight test of the unarmed, developmental Mk21A reentry vehicle - the critical front-end of the service's future intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) weapon system.
  • The U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor fleet recently reached 500,000 flight hours.
  • Lockheed Martin recently delivered the 2,700th Hercules multi-mission tactical airlifter, increasing the size, reach and strength of the worldwide C-130 fleet.
  • The U.S. Army awarded Lockheed Martin a $756 million contract to deliver additional capability for the nation's ground-based hypersonic weapon system, the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW).
