A day in the life of SPARK interns

The CIRM-funded Summer Program to Accelerate Regenerative Medicine Knowledge (SPARK) is one of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine's (CIRM) many educational programs dedicated to building a diverse and highly skilled workforce to support California's growing regenerative medicine economy.

CIRM's paid summer program offers diverse high school students unique opportunities in stem cell research-particularly students who might not otherwise have the chance to take part in internships due to economic constraints.

This year, students across the state once again participated in this exciting internship. To highlight their experiences, we challenged SPARK interns to share a day in their internships and how they ignite innovation as scientists.

Check out some of the wonderful submissions we received below:

We want to thank all the SPARK program students who participated in the challenge! To explore more social media submissions, explore the #CIRMSPARKLab hashtag on Instagram.
