SGMC Health Welcomes Neurohospitalist Dr. Farooq

SGMC Health is excited to announce the addition of Roohi Farooq, MD, to the health system. Dr. Farooq joins as a neurohospitalist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord, and nerves.

Neurologists are medical professionals who diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including strokes, seizures, multiple sclerosis, and other disorders impacting the nervous system. As a neurohospitalist, Dr. Farooq will be responsible for providing expert care to patients in the hospital at SGMC Health Main, ensuring they receive timely, specialized treatment during their stay.

Dr. Farooq completed her medical education at Deccan College of Medical Sciences and her residency at the SIU-Neuroscience Institute, where she developed extensive expertise in neurology and patient care. Her advanced training and dedication will enhance SGMC Health's commitment to providing comprehensive neurological care.
